This restaurant - located in the very heart of the city's central pedestrian zone - represents a chic and tasteful place serving traditional mostly Italian dishes. Typical local dishes include risotto with seasonal vegetables, gnocchi cooked in the Veronese style with delicious sauces, lamb cutlets and Adriatic seafood platters. The essential dish is liver cooked in the Venetian style, with maize polenta. The food is light; there is a wide selection of wines, and quick, efficient service. Non-smokers will appreciate a non-smoking section.

Trattoria alla Colonna

The cuisine consists of home-cooked fare, using various local ingredients. The first courses include for instance bigoli in donkey sauce, ravioli with truffles, and gnocchi with Gorgonzola. As the second course donkey stew, steak in Amarone (a vintage wine), donkey stew and giant cutlets are served - all of which will definitely more than fulfil your expectations. As for dessert - the tiramisu is excellent. The restaurant boasts with a vast selection of both local and foreign wines as well.

Re Teodorico is a restaurant which situated in the hills, not far from the Roman Archaeological Museum. It offers a tremendous panoramic view of the city. It is easily accessible by car, but one can also choose a pleasant stroll from Pietra Bridge, via the Roman Theatre.
